Team Liquid have eliminated FlyQuest from the 2022 LCS Lock In 2-0. TL will move onto the semifinals to face Dignitas, who upset defending LCS champion 100 Thieves 2-0 in the first quarterfinal match of the knockout stage.
Team Liquid placed 2nd in Group B, losing only once to Evil Geniuses. FlyQuest got off to an 0-2 start in Group A, but picked up a pair of wins later on in the group to qualify for the quarterfinals of teh LCS Lock In.
Since support Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in is still without a green card, he takes up an import slot. As a result, TL have been rotating LCS and TL Academy players for all positions except jungle and mid. In the first game against FlyQuest, AD carry Steven "Hans sama" Liv and CoreJJ made their on-stage debut while TLA top laner Bradley "Bradley" Benneyworth made his LCS debut just a few days after his Academy League debut.
In the second game, TLA support Bill "Eyla" Nguyen was subbed in for CoreJJ to lane with Hans samma, which allowed starting top laner Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau to retain his starting position as TL cruised to an easy 2-0 around the strong play of jungler Lucas "Santorin" Larsen, who went 4/2/15 across the two wins and was awarded Player of the Series.
